Calibration voucher As with all serious gas measurement sensors the Alcologic must be re-calibrated from time to time : Approx every 9 – 12 months or 300 – 400 uses depending on usage. For high volume testing calibration may be required sooner. After a period of time the sensor may become saturated with Alcohol and begin to give a reading even though alcohol hasn’t been consumed .For this reason it is necessary that we clean out the sensor and give your unit an overall health check to make sure it is working to maximum accuracy. Be careful !

Some cheaper units purport not to require calibration. It is impossible to maintain the accuracy of a breathalyser without service, these units are mere novelty devices often sold by electronics importers who know little or nothing about toxicology.

Some units also require a replaceable sensor. Replacing the sensor is just 50% of the service – the units hardware and software device be checked to make sure it is working properly. Users should be wary of devices that have no back-up servicing from manufacturers.
